juglans cinerea x juglans spp. - a walnut family cross between heartnut and butternut. buartnuts are a fast growing nut tree, reaching up to 90’ft in height, and producing nuts somewhere around 8 years of age. the nuts are heartshaped like heartnuts but with a spikier outer shell. the inner nut is tasty and as a nut tree they are indeed productive.

contains 12 seeds. need two months of stratification.*

*these seeds have begun the germination process, and need to stay cold and damp until spring. they can be kept in the fridge with a moist paper towel or sawdust. they can be planted out once the ground has thawed, in pots or direct seeded.
